Lisa Eldridge es una maquilladora profesional de «alto standing». Afirma llevar veinte años maquillando para grandes firmas, grandes desfiles y a top models y famosas en alfombras rojas y en las portadas y editoriales más importantes. Todo esto en su página web se confirma. Me atrevería a decir que Lisa es de lo mejor que hay en youtube, tanto la calidad de la grabación como del montaje de los videos y sobre todo a la hora de enseñarnos looks y tendencias.

Es por todo esto principalmente por lo que la he elegido como ejemplo a seguir para maquillarme estas navidades, y creo que este post puede servir de ayuda e inspiración para muchas.

I dare to say  Lisa is the best thing that youtube have, for the quality of the recording and the final results, and overall her great knowledge about make up, fashion and trends.

Como ya sabréis estoy bastante enganchada a las gurús del youtube, y me gustaría alguna vez llegar a ser una. De todas a las que estoy suscrita,  las hermanas pixiwoo y Lisa Eldridge son las que tienen el estilo que más me gusta.

Pin Up Look

Voy a comenzar con este look. Como veis es bastante natural y se limita a resaltar los labios con un bonito tono fucsia tirando a violeta. El tono de los labios podéis escogerlo entre los que más os gusten, rojos intensos, morados, fucsia. Creo que este look es de los más sencillos y favorecedores.

I’m going to start with this look. Is quite natural and simple and gets all the atention on the lips with this dark fuchsia. You can take your favourite lip colour, like a bright red, a pinky fuchsia or a purple one. I really think this make up is very easy and  flattering.

Golden smokey eyes

Este maquillaje es perfecto para aquellas que vistáis ese día con texturas y colores metálicos, o las que vayáis con un color liso y complementos dorados. Creo que es el mejor maquillaje en dorado que he visto, simple, elegante y nada recargado. Este maquillaje podríamos combinarlo al tono que nos convenga, ya sea dorado, plateado o cobre. Intentando que el resto de la cara vaya en los mismos tonos, es decir, si optamos por colores plateados, las mejillas y los labios deberán ser más rosáceos y menos marrones que si tomamos tonos dorados o bronces.

This makeup look is perfect for all the women who going to wear a mettalic outfit, or a plain one with golden accesorizes. I think this is the best golden makeup I’ve ever seen, simple, elegant and not overelaborate at all. We could match this makeup with the colour we’re wearing, either gold, silver or copper. Trying to keep the rest of the face according the colour, I mean, If we take a silver eyeshadow, we have to keep cheeks and lips in a pinky tone instead a bronzing tone, perfect for golden and copper eyeshadows.

Evening Purple Smokey Eyes Look

Este maquillaje es de los que más me gustan. Creo que es perfecto para las morenas de ojos marrones como yo. Quizás lo pondría un tono de labios más natural, aunque he de decir que esa mezcla me parece muy moderna. Si fuera a llevar un vestido negro o gris, esta sería mi opción sin dudarlo. Es más difícil de hacer porque ya hay que difuminar y graduar colores.

This makeup look is one of my favourites. I think is perfect for brunets and brown eyed women, like me. Maybe I’ll change the red lips for a natural or nude colour, but I have to say this mix of colours seems to me so trendy. If I was to wear a black or grey outfit, this will be my chose with no doubt. Is more dificult do make than the last ones because you need smudge and blend very well the colours.

Nicole Richie Cover Look

Este look es el que menos me gusta. Centra todo en los ojos, dejando lo demás muy nude. Aunque parezca lógico combinar ese maquillaje con un vestido negro, yo le daría más vida al asunto y lo combinaría con algo plateado, dorado azul oscuro, gris o incluso un verde. Cualquier color que pueda hacer una bonita mezcla con esa sombra magenta.

This makeup look could be the one I less like it. It focus everything on the eyes, keeping the rest of the face completly nude. Although seems logical mix this makeup with a black outfit, I woudl give it more «life» matching it with a silver, golden, midnight blue, grey or mint green colours. Any colour that could make a beautiful colour mix with this magenta eyeshadow

Dark lipsticks

Este look es el contrario al anterior. Centra todo en los labios dejando el resto prácticamente sin maquillar. Contemplo este como posibilidad para mi look de fin de año, siempre y cuando el rojo de los labios encaje bien con el de mi vestido, ya os enseñare lo que haya decidido.

This makeup look is just the oposite to the last one. It keep everything on the lips leaving the rest of the face almost free of makeup. I’m thinking about take this idea for my new years eve makeup. But I have to be sure that the red lip colour match perfectly with my red colour dress. I will show you the final results.

Smoky Winged Eyeliner

Este look sería mi segunda opción, creo que le puede favorecer a todas, sobre todo a las que no tengan unos ojos demasiado grandes o rasgados. Fácil de hacer y bastante simple a la vez que sexy.

This makeup will be my second option, I think this make up suits on everyone, overall in the women with small eyes. Easy to do and simple and sexy.

Orange/Red Party Lip

Y por último este look que bien podría ser una versión del «dark Lipstick», enfatiza un poco más en dar profundidad al ojo, pero por lo demás sigue siendo un maquillaje centrado en unos labios brillantes y bien esculpidos. Creo que algo así combinaría con cualquier cosa y es una gran opción para aquellas que no seáis muy habilidosas aplicando sombras o difuminando.

And the last but not least is this makeup wich could be a bright version of the «dark lipstick». It Focus a little bit more on the eyeshadow, but the rest of the face, keep being all about the lips, very brights and sculped. I think this look match completly with any dress and is the best opcion for all of you who are not so good aplying eyeshadows or blending it.
