He querido aprovechar uno de los peores brotes de acne de mi historia para poner a prueba mi base de maquillaje favorita. En este post no me voy a entretener en describir esta base de maquillaje, ya que no es ninguna novedad y existen ya miles de reviews. Sólo voy a resaltar aquellas características que para mi la hacen la mejor.
I wanted to take advantage of one of my worse acne breakout ever to put under test the coverage of my favourite foundation. This post is not going to be a foundation review as there are many of them already. I’m just going to highlight those features make it the best to me.
– La textura es muy ligera y acuosa, lo que hace que la aplicación sea un pelín entretenida ya que hay que masajearla mucho pero a su vez hace que se puedan aplicar ilimitadas capas una vez la anterior se ha asentado. Para la aplicación me gusta utilizar la brocha «buffing brush» de «Real Techniques».
– El acabado es muy satinado. Esto es totalmente subjetivo, pero a mi es el acabado que más me gusta. Que mi piel tienda a deshidratarse desde luego influye.
-Debido a su textura tan especial, el color se funde perfectamente en el tono de piel aunque no sea exactamente el correcto. Yo uso el tono C1, pero tengo también el C7 para mezclar y conseguir cualquier tono.
– El precio no tiene competencia. El tamaño de 50 ml a 30,50€ y el de 120 ml a 41€. Es cierto que se necesita más cantidad de producto comparando con otras bases, pero es que el tamaño estándar del resto de marcas es de 30 ml…
– Es la base perfecta para fotografía. No reflecta la luz, es resistente al agua, una vez se seca sobre la piel (tarda un poco, por eso) no se mueve. Creo que sin duda es la mejor opción para grandes ocasiones como bodas. Si no fuera por lo entretenido que resulta aplicarla y trabajar las capas, sería perfecta para uso diario.
– The texture is very light and watery, that makes the application be a little time-consuming as you really have to massage the product on the skin to set it in but at same time that type of texture allows you to apply as many layers as you need (letting the previous layer set). To apply this foundation I like to use «Buffing brush» from «Real Techniques».
– It Is satin finish. This is subjective matter, but satin finishes are my favourites. Probably because my skin tends to be dehydrated and dull.
– Due to its special texture, the colours melt perfectly on any skin tone even though the colour is not exactly the right one. I use C1, but I also own the C7 for mix them and get any tone in between.
– The price has no competitor . The 50ml for € 30.50 and the 120ml for € 41 . Is true that you need more amount of product than using other foundations , but the standard size of the rest of brands is 30 ml …
– It Is the perfect foundation to being photographed. Doesn’t flash back, is waterproof, once is set (takes a little though) it won’t move. With no doubt is the best choice for big moments as weddings. If the application was faster and you didn’t have to work the product on layers, it would also be perfect for every day use.
En este caso he utilizado únicamente el color C1. La primera capa por todo el rostro. La segunda solamente en la zona de la «barba» (barbilla y mandíbula) y la tercera para ambos lados de la barbilla donde hay más rojeces.
In this case I’ve only used the C1 shade. The first layer all over my face. Second layer only on the «beard» area (chin and jaw) and the third one on both sides of my chin where there are more redness.
